Small Craft Building - 4.Flip Over and Interior

When hull's done, it's time to flip over the boat and start working on its inside.

Before we flip over the boat  we need to make sure that all screws or nails to frames through the hull need to be pulled out and all sticky things removed.

And also mark the bulkhead position on hull, just because we didn't do it, we had extra trouble in installing bulkhead at bow.

When all the thing is done, slightly lift up the hull and try to find where it's stuck to. In case of our boat, bulkhead was stuck to the frame due to excess glue. So we had to remove the hull with temporary bulkhead frame on it from the hull.

When boat is flipped, then, move B/H forward and after then, it will be easily removed..

1.B/H
Since we didn't mark the position of B/H, we need to measure where it will be at sheer and from here using level, we marked its position on the hull.

Once its position is fixed, we cut out the B/H and its cover from plywood and B/H itself.
And we fixed B/H with clamp and wood block to maintain its exact position and make it plumb.

2.Fore Deck
For fore deck, we made fore deck rest laminated with plywood and fixed it right forward face of B/H. Also as a fore deck rest, we made short inner gunwale too.

Then we cut out and scarf jointed fore deck we couldn't attach it to the position.

3. Quarter knees
We made it laminated and attached it to the hull

4. Thwarts
We made 3 thwarts but unfortunately we couldn't attach it to the hull.
